The course is intended to be as practical as possible.  The instructor will make the participants aware of the broad concepts and generalizations in the field of course design and development.  The different parts, formats, and elements will be modeled and participants will then apply them in the development of a course design in their own area of expertise.  Time will be scheduled for group cooperative learning and paired or small-group study.   The instructor will conference on an individual basis and will also provide feedback on the items you develop for your own course and on your assignments in your philosophical portfolio.  Working and conference time will be regularly scheduled within the course operation time.  Rewrites are encouraged as necessary for a complete learning experience.
