8. SUMMARY / LAST WORD
There are many factors involved understanding and applying principles of environmental chemistry / toxicology. One can examine simple issues of direct toxicology on a small scale, or try to understand the subtle interactions created by complex mixtures of compounds in the environment. Overall, there are endless environmental challenges facing us and there will be more in the near future. It is through developing an understanding of the many systems, interactions, potential risks and concerns that we can make valid judgments and solid contributions as environmental proponents.
