Career Trek Profile

Career Trek provides participants with the opportunity to explore, first hand, involved post-secondary institutions. Participants spend five Saturdays (a "term", 5 weeks) at each campus exploring various departments, programs or faculties through hands-on, educational, age-appropriate activities. Whether the participants are exposed to Dental Assisting at Red River College, Theatre at the University of Winnipeg, or Physical Education and Recreation Studies at the University of Manitoba, all of our courses are designed to help develop the attitudes, knowledge and life skills necessary to do well in today's world. We believe that by developing and enhancing these skills, Career Trek graduates will be better prepared to meet the challenges of the future.

Launched in the fall of 1996, Career Trek has provided over 2750 young people, starting at the age of 10, and their families, with the opportunity to understand the importance of formal education, careers and "lifelong learning".
