Each
year the staff of Career Trek contact past graduates of the program that
are now entering Grade 10. These alumni are presented with an opportunity
to come back to Career Trek as Junior Staff. Interested alumni are
interviewed, with 16 being chosen to participate.
Junior Staff are provided with an opportunity to raise their skills to new
heights by training with the program staff, and then being posted to one
of the participating post-secondary institutions, where they become
Assistant Instructors, Assistant Group Leaders or Junior Campus
Coordinators.
This position is a voluntary one. In conjunction with participating high
schools, every effort is made to arrange for Junior Staff to learn an
academic credit for their work.
