Once per year, Career Trek holds an Information Day for families of participants. The purpose of Information day is to educate and empower families by providing them with information that will assist them (and their child) in accessing a post-secondary education.

Representatives of the participating post-secondary institutions present material on course selections, prerequisite secondary courses, course costs, supports (financial and otherwise) provided by the post-secondary institutions. Material is also presented on available bursaries, fellowships and grants that are available.

A representative of the provincial government also speaks about student loans available through government sources. Transportation (bussing) is provided by Career Trek.
